Indonesia has 7000 medicine plants species which means Indonesia got 70 percent of the whole Asian medicine plants, this number can be only matched by Brazil (WHO Research), but unfortunately we have only used 3 or 4 percent of it to be cultivated and used commercially. For the international market, based on the WHO research it is said that the used of traditional medicine in the whole world increase significantly, almost 80 percent of the world population benefit or used it to prevent and heal diseases.

Indonesia is an archipelago country that is abundant with its natural resources from the western part of Indonesia in Sumatera to the eastern part of Indonesia in West Papua. Indonesia itself have 300.000 plants species, 940 of them can be used or consumed as a medicine or as a medicine materials. Moreover, in 2010 it is estimated that the modern medicine market will grow to Rp 37,5 billion and for herbal medicine it will grow to Rp 7,2 billion. Compare is only Rp 2 billion.
Nowadays, new producer could only fulfilled 30 percent from the world market demand and 22 percent of the market were dominated by the China, therefore the opportunity to enter and dominate the market is very widely open to INDONESIA with the potential domestic market.
